Fine Arts Scholarship
Presented by the Cara Muirhead Endowment and Facilitated by the Splendora Education Foundation.
The Splendora Education Foundation is honored to facilitate the Cara Muirhead Fine Arts Scholarship, celebrating Cara's passion for the arts. This annual $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a deserving student who demonstrates a strong appreciation for or involvement in the fine arts and is pursuing higher education.
The scholarship applications opens February 1 and will close April 1.

Paraprofessional Scholarship
Each year, the Splendora ISD Education Foundation proudly awards a $500 scholarship to a dedicated SISD paraprofessional who is pursuing a degree in education. The scholarship applications open on February 1 and close on April 1.
Findeisen - Backhus Memorial Scholarships
In 2025, the Ms. Judy Backhus Memorial Scholarship was added to the Findeisen Scholarship as a tribute to her remarkable teaching career in Splendora ISD. Ms. Backhus was a beloved government and English teacher, known for her dedication to students and her passion for helping them grow both academically and personally. This scholarship will be awarded to an outstanding Splendora High School graduating senior who excels in English and or Government and plans to pursue post-secondary education—whether at a college, university, or technical/trade school.
Originally established in 2023, the Findeisen Scholarship honors the legacy of excellence in education by providing financial assistance to an outstanding Splendora High School graduating senior who excels in science and/or math and plans to pursue post-secondary education—whether at a college, university, or technical/trade school. This scholarship recognizes one deserving student each year, selected based on a combination of academic achievement, extracurricular involvement, and exemplary character.
Applications open February 1 and will close on April 1.

Mark Mitchell Scholarship
To learn more about who Mark Mitchell is, please visit https://www.markmitchellfoundation.com/about-mark.html. This scholarship is open to all Splendora High School Seniors who will be attending college or trade school. Applications open February 1 and will close on April 1.
Ready, Set, Teach Scholarship
The Splendora Education Foundation is honored to award a $500 scholarship each year to a Ready, Set, Teach student who is pursuing a career in education.
The application opens February 1 and closes April 1.
