Weekly Wildcat Recap: Celebrating Progress & Looking Ahead
It was another great week for the Splendora ISD Education Foundation! Every step we take is powered by people—our teachers, students, staff, and partners—who believe in the difference education can make. Here’s a quick look at what we accomplished together last week and what’s coming up:
🎉 Surprise Prize Deliveries
We had the joy of delivering prizes across the district! From welcoming new teachers who won at our New Teacher Induction this summer to surprising staff nominated by their campus or department leaders, we loved seeing the smiles these moments created.
📢 Grant Applications Are Rolling In
Our Educator Grant window is officially open, and the creativity pouring in from teachers has been inspiring. These innovative ideas are exactly why the Foundation exists—to spark new opportunities for students across Splendora ISD.
🍴 Men Who Cook Momentum
The excitement for Men Who Cook (Oct. 18, 2025) is building fast! We welcomed new sponsors and shared opportunities for chef teams to get involved. It’s shaping up to be a fun, delicious evening that directly supports grants, scholarships, and innovative learning.
💼 Connecting with the Business Community
We spent time strengthening ties with local business leaders, sharing how they can partner with us through sponsorships, Adopt-a-Cause opportunities, or by mentoring our high school students through programs like IncubatorEdu. These partnerships are what help us bridge the gap between schools and the wider community.
👀 What’s Coming Up This Week
This week will be another full one for our Education Foundation Coordinator:
- Thursday, Sept. 18: We’ll be at the Greater EMC Chamber Business Expo—a great opportunity to share what we do for our teachers and students while connecting with local businesses. Stop by our booth to enter for prizes and discover ways to “Adopt a Cause.”
- Thursday evening: Join us at Pizza, Pi, Pie Night at Splendora High School, where we’ll be helping students and families enjoy a fun evening of math + food while preparing for academic success!
