A Recipe for Success: Men Who Cook 2025 Raises Over $62,000 for Splendora ISD Students and Teachers

On Saturday, October 18, the Splendora ISD Education Foundation hosted its signature fall fundraiser — Men Who Cook — at The Atrium Center, and what an unforgettable evening it was!

Nineteen teams of local leaders, educators, and community members traded in their ties and tool belts for aprons and spatulas to compete for culinary bragging rights — all while raising funds to support innovative classroom grants, student scholarships, and district programs that make a lasting impact across Splendora ISD.

Guests sampled delicious appetizers, entrées, desserts, and beverages, casting their votes for their favorite dishes in each category. From creative themes and table décor to the incredible food itself, every team brought their A-game, showcasing the heart and hometown pride that defines Splendora.

This year’s winners included:
Team The Rusty Buckle – Best Appetizer

Team Supts Who Cook (Dr. Barnes, Superintendent, Cleveland ISD & Dr. Bromley, Superintendent Splendora ISD) – Best Entrée

Team Boudin Ballers – Best Dessert

Team Dos Jungle Amigos – Best Drink

Team Tom & Kim Klepcyk – Best Theme

The night also featured an exciting live auction, with exclusive items such as autographed music memorabilia, one-of-a-kind experiences, and handcrafted projects made by Splendora High School students. Thanks to our generous bidders, sponsors, and attendees, the event raised more than $62,000 — funds that will directly benefit the students and educators of Splendora ISD.

A heartfelt thank-you goes out to our sponsors, chef teams, volunteers, and guests who made this event possible. Your support helps us transform community investment into educational excellence, one dish at a time.

Together, we’re proving that when the community comes together — great things happen for our Wildcats!
