🎓 Spotlight: 2025 Educator Grant Winners Making a Difference

This week, we continued celebrating our 2025 Educator Grant recipients whose projects are already beginning to shape stronger learning opportunities.

One highlight: Dr. Brittney Pettis and the Special Services Speech Team received funding for their project “Empowering Communication: AAC for Inclusive Learning.” This initiative brings vital augmentative communication tools into classrooms across the district — giving students with speech-impacting conditions a stronger voice, greater independence, and more inclusive learning experiences.

These are the kinds of projects your generosity fuels every year, and we can’t wait to share more stories in the weeks ahead.

🎨 Students Take Center Stage: Hands-On Learning

Across our campuses, students continue to shine through the arts and hands-on exploration.

This week, we celebrated the 4th Grade Science Team at Peach Creek Elementary, whose 2025 grant project “Cultivating Curiosity” will soon create a new school garden where students can observe plant life cycles, track weather patterns, and engage in experiential science learning.

From fine arts to STEM, SEF is proud to champion opportunities that inspire curiosity and creativity.

☕ Thank You for Supporting Giving Week!

Our annual Giving Week wrapped up with incredible participation from staff, families, and local businesses. Thanks to your generosity — from $5 “cup of coffee” gifts to matched donations — we raised $2,500 to support teacher innovation and student programs across Splendora ISD.

A special thank-you to our community partners — including Community Resource Credit Union, who generously matched gifts — for stepping up to support our Wildcats. Your belief in Splendora ISD makes all the difference.

🎄 Join Us Next: Christmas in the Pines

We’re excited to connect with families and students at Christmas in the Pines on December 17 from 6–8 p.m. Stop by the SEF booth for a fun Christmas Bag Toss game, prizes, and a chance to learn more about the impact of grants in our classrooms.

We love these opportunities to be present in the community and share how your support directly benefits SISD students.
