Weekly Recap: September 1–7, 2025
As the school year picks up momentum, last week was full of exciting moments for the Splendora Education Foundation and our community partners. Here’s a look back at the highlights:
📣 Community Engagement
- We connected with local business leaders at the Greater EMC Chamber, continuing to spread the word about how SEF supports Splendora ISD students and staff. Conversations like these are helping us grow new partnerships that directly impact classrooms.
- We also received a generous donation of backpacks and school supplies from Community Assistance Center – Montgomery County, ensuring that our students start the year equipped and ready to learn.
🍎 Supporting Teachers & Students
- Educator Grants are open for applications! These grants give teachers the resources to bring creative, hands-on projects to life. We’ve already seen inspiring ideas begin to roll in.
- We began delivering prizes around the district—celebrating our new teachers who won giveaways at New Teacher Induction this summer and surprising campus and department staff nominated by their administrators for going above and beyond. It’s one of our favorite ways to recognize the amazing people who make Splendora ISD so special.
👨🍳 Men Who Cook Momentum
- Planning for our Men Who Cook 2025 fundraiser (October 18) is in full swing. Sponsorships are being secured, chef teams are forming, and we’re already getting excited about what promises to be our biggest event yet.
📰 Staying Connected
- Our September newsletter went out last week, filled with updates on programs, contests, and ways to get involved. If you missed it, be sure to subscribe so you never miss an update!
