All Aboard for Learning: A Week of Student Impact in Splendora ISD

This week is a perfect reminder of why we do what we do.

Across Splendora ISD, students are being supported, encouraged, and celebrated through two major events—each designed to create meaningful, engaging learning experiences that go beyond the classroom.

đźš‚ 8th Grade U.S. History STAAR Showdown

All aboard!

Our 8th-grade students are gearing up for success with the U.S. History STAAR Showdown—an interactive, high-energy review experience that transforms test preparation into something students will truly remember on Friday, April 17, and Monday, April 20.

Each student receives a ticket to step onboard the U.S. History STAAR Review Train, traveling through the key eras they’ll encounter on the exam. This creative approach brings history to life, helping students connect the dots while building confidence ahead of testing.

And here’s what makes this even more special—this experience is made possible because of a generous donation from the Sons of the American Revolution. Their investment is helping ensure our students feel prepared, supported, and excited as they approach an important academic milestone.

🎪 Elementary UIL Meet at Peach Creek Elementary

The excitement continues as we look ahead to Saturday, April 18, when students from across the district will gather at Peach Creek Elementary for the Elementary UIL Meet.

This event celebrates academic excellence, creativity, and student achievement—giving our youngest learners the opportunity to shine.

Thanks to our partnerships with TASCO and Huckabee, we’re proud to help enhance the experience for everyone involved. Together, we are hosting a hospitality room for the incredible volunteers who make this event possible, along with fun, circus-themed décor to create an energetic and welcoming atmosphere.

Because when we support the adults who support our students, everyone wins.

Because of You

Moments like these don’t happen by accident.

They happen because of community partners, donors, and organizations who believe in creating opportunities for students—opportunities that inspire confidence, spark curiosity, and make learning memorable.

From a train ride through history to a celebration of academic talent, this week is full of impact.

And it’s all happening because of you.
