Big Ideas for Our Students Start Today

Today, the Splendora ISD Education Foundation officially opens applications for its 2026–2027 Educator Grant Program!
This is one of the most exciting times of the year for the Education Foundation because it gives our teachers and staff an opportunity to dream a little bigger for their students.
Every day, our educators see needs and possibilities that others may not. They know when a new resource, creative program, hands-on experience, or different approach could help a student become more engaged, confident, and successful.
Unfortunately, school budgets cannot always cover every great idea. That is where the Education Foundation—and the generosity of our community—can make a difference.
Turning Community Support into Classroom Impact
Through the Educator Grant Program, Splendora ISD employees may apply for up to $3,000 for an individual grant or up to $6,000 for a team grant.
These grants can fund innovative classroom projects, specialized learning materials, literacy initiatives, technology, hands-on experiences, and other creative programs designed to help students learn and grow.
When someone donates to the Splendora ISD Education Foundation, that generosity becomes something real. It may become books in a student’s hands, materials for a science experiment, equipment for a new program, or an experience that helps a child discover a talent or interest they did not know they had.
That is the true impact of giving.
Why These Grants Matter
Approximately 60% of Splendora ISD students are economically disadvantaged, and every campus in the district is Title I. Educator grants help provide experiences and resources that many of our students may not otherwise have access to.
They also send an important message to our educators: We see your ideas, we value your work, and our community is willing to invest in you and your students.
Over the coming weeks, our educators will develop and submit their ideas. After the application deadline, community volunteers will help review the proposals and determine which projects will receive funding.
Then comes the best part—surprising our grant recipients and watching their ideas come to life!
You Can Be Part of What Happens Next
Educator grant applications are open through Monday, September 28, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.
While only Splendora ISD employees may apply, everyone in our community can help make these grants possible.
You can donate, share our work, encourage an educator to apply, volunteer with the Education Foundation, or connect us with a business interested in supporting local students.
Big ideas are already growing in classrooms across Splendora ISD. With the support of our community, we can help turn more of those ideas into opportunities for our students.
Their ideas are worth investing in—and our students are, too.
