More Than $40,000 Raised at the 2026 Golf Tournament
There were a lot of weather apps being checked in the days leading up to the Splendora ISD Education Foundation Golf Tournament.
As Friday approached, the forecast seemed to change by the hour, and like many of our golfers and sponsors, I spent plenty of time wondering what tournament day would bring. Thankfully, while the skies kept us on our toes, our community showed up in a big way.
Because of the incredible support of our sponsors, golfers, donors, volunteers, and community partners, the 2026 Golf Tournament raised more than $40,000 to support students and teachers across Splendora ISD.
The day began with registration, breakfast, and plenty of friendly conversation before teams headed to the course for a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start. One of the highlights of the morning was our Principal Putt-Off, where campus leaders competed for bragging rights while supporters cast votes to help raise additional funds for the Foundation. Congratulations to Molly Buford, who claimed the Putt-Off title, and to Dr. Megan Durtche, our People’s Champion!
Throughout the day, golfers enjoyed time with colleagues, friends, and community members while supporting a cause that impacts every campus in our district. The silent auction added another layer of fun, giving participants the opportunity to bid on unique items while contributing to the Foundation’s mission.
Events like our Golf Tournament are about much more than a day on the course. Every dollar raised helps fund innovative educator grants, student enrichment programs, scholarships, and opportunities that might not otherwise be possible. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, the Foundation continues to invest in experiences and resources that help students succeed and educators thrive.
Most importantly, Friday served as a reminder of what makes the Splendora community so special. Time and again, our businesses, families, staff members, and community leaders step up when it matters most. Your willingness to invest in education creates opportunities that will impact students for years to come.
To everyone who sponsored, played, volunteered, donated, bid, voted, or cheered us on—thank you. We are grateful for your support and honored to have you as partners in our mission.
We look forward to sharing the stories of the students and educators who will benefit from your generosity in the coming year.
