Why Employee Giving Matters

At the Splendora ISD Education Foundation, we often talk about the power of community support. Local businesses, families, alumni, and community members all play an important role in helping us provide more opportunities for Splendora ISD students and staff.

But there is something especially meaningful about support that comes from within our own district.

When Splendora ISD employees choose to give through payroll deduction, they are making a powerful statement: we believe in our students, we believe in our coworkers, and we believe in the work happening in our classrooms every day.

Small Gifts Can Make a Big Difference

Employee giving does not have to be a large commitment to have an impact. Even a small monthly donation, combined with the generosity of other employees, can help fund educator grants, student scholarships, literacy programs, special projects, and meaningful classroom experiences.

One employee’s contribution may help purchase books for young readers. Another may help provide supplies for a hands-on science lesson, support an innovative classroom project, or help a graduating senior take the next step toward college or career training.

Every gift becomes part of something bigger.

Supporting the People Beside You

One of the most meaningful parts of employee giving is knowing that your contribution may directly support a fellow educator, staff member, or student within Splendora ISD.

It may help a teacher bring an idea to life that would not otherwise fit within a campus budget. It may support a program that reaches students who need additional encouragement or resources. It may provide an opportunity that helps a student discover a new interest, build confidence, or feel seen.

Employee giving is not simply a donation to an organization. It is an investment in the people you work beside and the students you serve.

Leading by Example

When employees support the Education Foundation, it also sends a strong message to outside donors and community partners.

It shows that the people who know our district best believe in its future. It demonstrates that our staff members are personally invested in creating additional opportunities for students and educators. That kind of support builds trust and encourages others to join us.

Employee participation, no matter the amount, helps strengthen the story we are able to share with potential donors: our community is united around the success of Splendora ISD.

Bridging the Gap

With all Splendora ISD campuses designated as Title I and approximately 60% of students considered economically disadvantaged, the needs across our district are significant.

The Education Foundation exists to help bridge the gap between what traditional funding can provide and what our students and educators need to thrive. Employee donations help make that possible by supporting programs, projects, and opportunities that may otherwise go unfunded.

Giving Is a Personal Choice—and Every Gift Matters

We know that giving is personal, and every employee’s circumstances are different. There is never an expectation that everyone give the same amount.

What matters is the collective impact.

A few dollars each month may feel small, but when employees across the district come together, those gifts can create lasting change. They can turn ideas into opportunities and help students and staff feel supported by the people who know their needs best.

When you give to the Splendora ISD Education Foundation, you are helping invest in classrooms, encourage educators, and create opportunities for students across the district.

Most importantly, you are showing that we are all in this together.
